Reef - Up Close and Personal

The majority of Molfettans profess a distinct dislike of sand. It's "dirty." It works its way into everything, your towel, your hair, your beach bag, your swimming trunks... But I say, at least it's soft! Try getting comfy on this surface!

haha! Many Catanese (inlucing my husband) have the same opinion. I have gotten sort of used to the rocks, but they are anything but comfy!

good point - sand reminds me of good summer weather

I agree with you about the sand. We have showers all along our beach to get rid of it. But it is a lot "softer" than the alternative.

I agree with you but being born on a stone promontory with stony beaches, the same sort of thoughts are into my DNA! You can easily make yourself comfortable with a tiny roll-up thin mattress with handles, easy to bring and extremely comfy... then enjoy the cleanliness and the touch of the warm stone...

Most of Livorno agree with Molfetta, here sand is scarce, rocks and pebbles are everywhere. Any kind of device is used to soften the impact!
