The hot chocolate was excellent and so dense we had to eat it with a spoon, rather than drink it! The owner of the caffé, Franco, explained that it is produced by a company called Eraclea that is rather selective about which establishments it allows to serve its product.
The Sotto Coperta (which means "below deck" in Italian) has an outdoor area with tables, for drier, warmer weather, and a lovely view of the sea to the rear. It is one of the few bars in Molfetta that offer a relaxing and pleasant environment in which to have a coffee and chat with friends.

How could the producers select the establisnment that will carry their products? Is this a marketing tool to help the consumer feel special?

Mmmm, hot chocolate! Good at anytime of year. This one looks yummy :)
Lakeviewer - I guess they only distribute their product to bars that reach certain standards of class and elegance! A lot of Italians love something that smacks of exclusivity!
May I please have the address of the cafe as I can't seem to google it....it's in venice if I'm not mistaken?
I shall be taking a trip there next mont and so am rather impatient to taste it( as you can well imagine)!
