This photo is terribly grey, but that's just the kind of day it is here. Grey, grey, grey. I'm feeling kind of grey myself, actually... Southern Italy has a wonderful abundance of sun yearround, and I realise how spoiled I am when a few grey days start to get me down. How do people survive in areas with very little sun throughout the winter?
The smoke in this photo is from agricultural burning. Farmers are pruning olive trees and burning the smaller branches and leaves. Outside it smells like a big barbeque!

This is a stunning picture. Regards.
Probably not too good for the atmosphere...
Nice shot, Saretta!
And I know just what you mean. If we get two cloudy or gray days in a row, I get depressed and edgy and frustrated.
How spoiled is that?
It really doesn't look like a nice day. But I like the image.
I see that you have 7 degreees right now, quite a bit colder than here (12). I suppose a bit of grey makes you appreciate the sun even more
Dont get your down Saretta.Just think spring is just around the corner.
One way I cope with grey winter days is to spend a lot of time editing photos of happier weather. A large dose of sunny images does wonders for your outlook.
I agree about the sun, but clouds often give us some very good photographic opportunities.
This is a spectacular image, hope that the fire won't go out of control, as sometime happens here.
Thank you all for your kind comments! Today is sunny, so I'm a lot sunnier myself! :-)
