Monthly Theme Day: Wood

Olive trees can live to be hundreds of years old and have amazing patterns in their bark.

This one is a tree with a view!

Today is Monthly Theme Day in the City Daily Photo community. Our theme this month is "wood." Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

Perfect, perfect choice. I was tempted to post an old olive tree too but didn't. So glad you did and your images are stunning, such detail. My favourite tree in Europe!

Great theme day post. We have olive trees in Florida and I like them a lot, although they can be a little messy!

By the way, I asked my dog why she liked olive trees. She said, "Nice bark!"

Sorry. I'll go away now.

Some of the best images for this theme day. Olive trees are amazing and outlast almost everything...

Lovely gnarled wood. Groves of olive trees definitely say Europe.

I knew there were many reasons I enjoyed your blog, now there's one more: you share my passion for tree photography. I adore the shapes and textures found in nature, but especially trees. I know you have been kind enough to visit my blog, but I hope you will visit this page and look at my tree shot:
