Wedding at City Hall, Continued

The wedding I showed you two posts ago continued yesterday with a lunch held at a beautiful restaurant on the sea at Polignano a Mare, located about an hour's drive south of Molfetta.
Let me introduce you to the groom today. His name is Fulvio and he is from Molfetta. He works as as a certified public accountant. He has good taste in women and restaurants, because Katja is a doll and the lunch was absolutely delicious, all seafood from the hors d'oeuvres on.
This is a view of Polignano from the window of the restaurant. Sorry if it's a bit blotchy, but the window was covered with sea spray. Polignano is famous for being the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, one of the most famous Italian singer/songwriters of all time.

Here's one of his most famous tunes...

E-mail «Louis» a slice of that cake, please! He's hungry!

A fine-looking couple! Congratulations to them!

Are the buildings on the cliff abandoned? They look as if they are more than a little precariously-perched there!

Fulvio is really a lucky man! Polignano a Mare is a wonderful place, I didn't know that Modugno was from there.

Thank you for sharing these photos of the beautiful cake and couple and that wonderful seaside scene. Wow! What an area you live in!

To everyone - Fulvio and Katja read my blog so they will see your kind compliments!

Louis - those houses are lived in. They have been there for hundreds of years and they haven't fallen off the cliff yet! :-)

Your photo of this lovely, happy couple shows a different reason that I love Italy so much and have vacationed there 6 times (and am coming back this summer).

In Italy, even the ACCOUNTANTS look like they are fun people who enjoy life.

I apologize if I have insulted accountants elsewhere. Please don't be insulted. I have some friends who are accountants.

What a delicious, beautiful cake; handsome, happy couple; and fantastic view over the ocean! I'm glad they didn't pose with a "fig leaf" position! Phew!

I love the cake! It looks so beautiful and I bet it's delicious. What kind of cake is it? Chocolate with ganache or white/yellow cake with fruit fillings? :-)

Also, I would love to attend an Italian wedding.

Saretta said...

I personally would have invited you all! The cake was white with cream filling.

Congratulations to both Fulvio and Katja!

A curious question ... does Katja happen to have a blog?

Saretta said...

Not that I know of, Chuck, why do you ask?
