The chairs meet to debate on whether summer is really, in fact, quite over and if, perhaps, it would be best to retreat into the garage until spring.

Chair number 1: "I think summer is gone and it is time for us to be stowed away in the garage."
Chair number 2: "Why should I listen to you? You do not even have enough sense to come in out of the rain."
Chair 1: "Neither do you. You are still out in the rain."
Chair 2: "I was just here to keep you company. You look like you needed some companionship. When it rains there is no one here to sit on us."
Love the mood you create with this (clearly Jacob did too). Image and comment work beautifully together.
Funny and appropros commentary...I'd guess this is on your patio? It must have rained hard just before you took the photo...the reflections and colors are fabulous...
Love the composition! Reminds me that I HAVE to bring in the patio table, chairs and flowerpots for winter before we get any more snow! Kind regards from the identical twin
Gorgeous reflections Saretta! Sad that you will have to say goodbye to summer in Italy as well. Awwwww!

Dave in Costa-Rica has a gift for putting himself in situ, LOL!!
Lovely scene, but does indeed look wet ... however, without "wet" you wouldn't have the great reflection of summer -:)
To answer your question, I played the trumpet.
Very nice photo and lovely script by Dave-!
Wet and murky, sepia brown, sloshy and tired. VEry moody and eloquent.
I hope they eventually reached a concensus. It took me a minute to realize this wasn't water. I kept thinking, why is the Mediterranean so brown?
I'm glad to be late, so I can read all these comments. I'm uneasy about the photo, but probably this is what you wished so it is effective!
