Why is there an American flag so prominently displayed? Is it in your honor?

Fern! Do you think? ;-))) No, but really...Molfetta has a lot of seagoing vessels in its harbour and the men of Molfetta have travelled the world. There are a lot of emigrants particularly in the US, but also in South America and Australia. Many of these emigrants come home each year for this festival. The flags are in their honor!
