An Outsider's View In and Around Molfetta, Italy
Everyone looks so smooth and tanned. But I pity the priest, all covered in layers.
What a great photo you have here. I like the color and the composition.
Now this looks like the best fun. Super shot, Saretta.
This reminds "Louis" of the Festival of Sail in San Francisco recently.
A fluvial procession? Oh wow! Looks like great fun! Love this photo — looking forward to the rest.
Why is there an American flag so prominently displayed? Is it in your honor?
Fern! Do you think? ;-))) No, but really...Molfetta has a lot of seagoing vessels in its harbour and the men of Molfetta have travelled the world. There are a lot of emigrants particularly in the US, but also in South America and Australia. Many of these emigrants come home each year for this festival. The flags are in their honor!
