I too vote that it's a lamp shade. I love it by the way, appears modern!
At first I though it was a ceiling, but then I read it's not art and now I don't have a clue... Anyway it's very cool and eye-cathing!

The "colabrodo" (colander), was a good idea, but I'd on a printed pattern...
