Mystery Revealed, no. 12

Well, it was not too much of a mystery for VP, bfarr and Eleonora to guess that yesterday's Mystery Photo showed mooring rings. These are located along the port for fishing boats to tie up to while they are in harbour.

Mystery Photo, no. 12

It's time once more to play Mystery Photo, where you tell me what you think the thingamagig in the photo is all about.

Hint: it's not actually meant to be a giant ashtray!

Answer to be revealed in tomorrow's post.

Mystery Revealed, 7

Many of you who guessed at yesterday's Mystery Photo were close, or even technically correct! These are tubes. But Valeria of Verona Daily Photo hit the nail on the head when she guessed they were used for watering. They are irrigation tubes, on sale at the Iovino gardening supply shop! The shiny colors and vortex-like image caught my attention.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to play Mystery Photo!

Please take a guess at what you think this is a photo of. The "mystery" will be solved tomorrow.

Mystery Revealed, 6

Yesterday's "mystery photo" showed a detail of this antique plow, which is on display at the entry to the Pirro Agriturismo.
At least, I think it's a plow... Well, plow is my best guess!

Here's the whole thing. What do you say? Is it a plow?

Mystery Photo, 6

Every once in a while, I like to play "Mystery Photo." This photo was taken at the Pirro Agriturismo and shows a detail of something larger. Take a guess, what do you think it is?

Mystery Revealed No. 5

Behind that barbed wire and slivers of embedded glass lie...that's right...preschool children! But, the real mystery is whether the elaborate defense system exists to keep us out, or to keep them in? As a mother, I have my doubts! Just joking...

No, the real mystery is who is this Father Hannibal of France? And, am I the only one who has unpleasant associations with the name Hannibal? And would be hesitant to leave my children in his care? Just joking, again...

Mystery Photo no. 5

The challenge in this Mystery Photo is to guess what lies behind this high wall protected not only by barbed wire, but also by imbedded slivers of sharp broken glass. I've always wondered what kind of gloves the guys who stick the glass in the cement wear! One clue (that won't actually help you guess, but I feel compelled by honesty to tell you): this photo was shot in Bari, not Molfetta. My son tells me that it's not a fair Mystery Photo because it should be something from Molfetta, but I could not resist this one...c'mon, Bari is *near* Molfetta.

Mystery Revealed No. 4

I just realised that I don't have a photo that clearly illustrates the setting for yesterday's mystery item! Oh no! The best I can do for now is the photo above that gives you a slightly wider view... What you are looking at is the ceiling lighting fixture in one of the elevators in Molfetta's hospital. I think it's a pretty wild and crazy choice in the midst of what is otherwise a typically sterile, colorless hospital environment.
This second photo shows the ground floor hallway. Now, that's what I expect in a hospital. Bland, bland, bland. But, Molfetta's hospital has other surprises up its sleeves...more to come in the following days...

Mystery Photo no. 4

It's been quite a while since we last played the Mystery Photo game. So, what do you think you're looking at here? I'll give you a hint: it's not "art" - it has a function.

Mystery Photo no. 3

It's time once again to play the Molfetta Daily Photo Mystery Photo game. Try to guess what this photo shows. I'm sorry, but "a bunch of drawers" is not an acceptable answer! Please be more specific. Who, what, where, when, why and how do you think these drawers are all about?

Answers tomorrow!
