Finally, A Rainy Day

Looks like it's really the end of the summer now...

The rain has stopped here but there is a crisp autumn feel in the air. Summer is over and it never started for us!

I was visiting Molfetta for two weeks during this time two years ago and never any rain. However we took a day trip to Naples and while cresting the mountains found very, very cold and harsh rains. It was exciting. Once in Naples, it was a sunny and warm day.

The weather is very changeable in spring and fall here. This morning it was quite chilly and overcast. Everyone was wearing long pants, closed shoes (rather than sandals) and long sleeves, but at noon it was hot and sunny. By 3 p.m. it was cool and overcast again...

When our rainy season's just beginning, we only get the rains late in the afternoon. The rest of the day is just like summer: hot and humid.

I'm glad it's finally going to rain there. You did mention the problem of desertification in your part of Italy.

LOL! Not so awesome — I had to check your archive to make sure that it really was you who mentioned it. ;)

I'm very happy to see the rain as well...we had more today in the morning, then bright and sunny all afternoon. Changeable indeed!
