Here's another billboard that's up around town these days. It has me rather perplexed, I must admit. It is not promoting the use of condoms at all, but is an advertisement for a website about Molfetta (see
link on my sidebar) and a graphics/pr studio. It says "Don't run unnecessary risks. Put yourself in the hands of the communications professionals. Molfetta Live and Studio 360."
I can remember not too long ago that an image of a condom was pretty much taboo. Even for spreading information about important health issues, like the prevention of unwanted pregnancies and STDs.
What do you think...is this clever advertising or...what?

Thanks for visiting my daily photo blog.
I think using the condom is a rather cute idea.
All I can think of is communicable disease, then I forget what exactly they're advertising. Gah. Must be my background in allied health talking.
Well, I think it does promote sexual health, in a backhanded way, by conveying the assumption that everyone "of course" knows that condoms reduce risks that are completely unnecessary. I don't understand why the insects are flying around him though. Is he the bird, and they are the bees?
j.c. - it certainly is a cute condom! :-)
Knoxville Girl - yeah, I share your feeling.
Elaine - that's a good point about assumptions! The birds and the bees analogy works well here...LOL! But, the bee is actually the symbol of all the "your city LIVE" sites.
hm I agree with you. It confuses people. It made you look, though!
Someone is using clever maketing. I certainly gets your attention.
I think it's ingenius!! Condom ad or not, it sure caught your attention.
