A Southern Italian Wedding, 3

Dressing to the nines is the rule at your southern Italian wedding...
High heels and elegant dresses for the women; suits and ties for the men...despite the fact that it was 115° in the shade and air-conditioning is merely a dream for the most part around here.

At least some people were cooler than others...

Not so different from here, only a bit more exaggerated. I really like this set of photos.

Style! I have been to Sorrento, and I have seen weddings and guests.... Gosh, the Italians looked like they were models for the famous VOGUE.
Impressive.

If looks could kill... the last picture shows a lady in trouble.

I went to our daughter's wedding on a hot day and gave her away. It was so hot the sweat ran down the middle of my back. Thankfully, I ran out of daughters and won't have to do that again.

Very similar to Greek weddings, although Greek weddings are in the evening, so all the dressing up doesn't look out of place ;-)

Beauty above comfort! You never know when the paparazzi might show up . . . .

Might I suggest a Spring or Fall wedding. Seems like it would be more enjoyable.

I hate wearing suits and ties on a normal cold winter day so I can only imagine the misery of doing it during summer months.

Great photos, Saretta.

And thanks for visiting Bangor Daily Photo.
