Continuing our tour of local private beach clubs...the photo was shot poolside at the Nettuno Beach Club. This is quite a large operation complete with giant pool, diving pool, baby pool and beach access.
Molfetta is located on the Adriatic Sea and our summer is already in full swing here, so going to the beach is a primary activity for all those people who can do it...such as children, students, housewives, basically anyone who is not working can be found at the beach for part of the day!

Takes me back to a warm day near Brindisi many years ago. We were waiting for the ferry to Corfu and decided to hit the beach. And ran into all sorts of trouble with private beaches, bus drivers and the local police. It was 42 C and after a few hours we finally found a beach where we were welcome.
In Costa RIca there are no such thing as private beach clubs because all beaches are public property. There are some developments where the road to get into the area is gated, but people can still walk along the beach
Here, too, the beach and the sea belong to everyone. What you are paying for in these private clubs are the services: the umbrella, the beach chair, the swimming pool, the bar, the restroom, etc. But no one can tell you that you can't sit on the beach or take a swim in the sea anywhere along the coastline.
What you write of Molfettans during summer could apply perfectly to Livornesi!
Beautiful beach photos! Private beaches? We ate pizza last night on my "Birthday Eve." Not as good as your pizza pictured on Friday! Regards from EAGAN daily photo
Happy Birthday Leif, today is my birthday, too! :-)
