An Outsider's View In and Around Molfetta, Italy
This is so typical and so odd at the same time, great capture.
Is that a Poinsetta?
Yes, it is, Lucia!
I'm confused. Are they all interred in one spot or simply family that has passed on?
I have the same question as B Squared. It's the first time I've seen these many photos in one burial site (and on a cross too).
This place is amazing... You could probably do a whole sequence of photo essays here.I remember one tomb in particular that has the image of "le mort" coming out from a mirror. My grandmother used to say that it was too teach a vain girl a lesson because she was staring in the mirror too much... I doubt that was the real meaning of the sculpture
Gosh, I just love stuff like this. What great family history. I scrolled through your blog and all the photos are fabulous!
Very similar to a Greek cemetery. How interesting!
I'm not sure about the multiple photos on the single cross. I will find out for you!
