Prima Cala...deserted

This is the only decent beach left within city limits. In the summer it is jam-packed with sunbathers and swimmers. In the past it was clean and only *too* crowded on August weekends. But it has been literally garbage-strewn for the past two years. People don't tend to clean up after themselves and the city garbage department has not been doing its job very well.

It's nice to see it clean and empty.

Too bad about the graffiti too. But at least, as you say, it got picked up eventually.

Sigh. Maybe your city should start charging a small entrance fee just to help with its maintenance. I just don't understand people who don't care about others.

The grafitti really bothers me...

It bothers me in the states when i see it on highway underpasses or in the subway, but to see it on ancient buildings... that's repulsive.

That's why I love low-season! I can be everywhere I want because there's nobody around (or almost nobody...)! :-)
In the peak of summer, living where I do can be hell sometimes...

I like the minimalism on your previous pics.

You continue to inspire me -- lovely photos, lovely simple commentary. Thanks!

Your beach looks a lot warmer than mine. I wouldn't go swimming in my sea, but I'd be straight in here.

Elaine - I'm sorry to say that I believe the beach is clean now just because high seas have blown the garbage out to sea...

Hilda - yes, I agree, it's sad when people don't take care of their own environment, not only for others...but for themselves too!

Historelli - graffiti is ugly, thatìs for sure. I didn't even notice it in this picture until you and Elaine pointed it out. It is everywhere here.

JM - thank you, I really like the minimalism in these pictures, too, if I do say so myself! I tend to be a cluttered person in general, in my housekeeping and in my thoughts so it's nice to focus on some emptier images and relax...

Kristin - aw, shucks...thank you!

Babooshka - I'm sure our cold would be your summertime warm!! We no doubt have very different standards of what cold means! ;-)
