Torre Gavetone

Torre Gavetone was built on the reefs along the Adriatic Sea just to the south of town during the Second World War as a munitions deposit and look-out tower.

Looks like the graffiti gnomes have been at work.

Nice composition with the pool of water, the tower blends with the rocks easily.
Hope your connection is getting more reliable...

It looks dangerous to get close to it.

Mr. B - the graffiti gnomes leave no flat surface unmarked!

Thanks, Poet, I'm hoping for the same!

Anon - no, it's just an empty shell now.

It all looks a bit barren and other-worldly! Great photo.

Nice photograph. The pool and the graffiti-building look very mysterious.

Quite fascinating. Does the this water serve a purpose? It's the kind of place I love to explore!

It's just a tide pool, Jacob. This old building is situated right on the reefs along the Adriatic. We don't have sand beaches in Molfetta, just these rocky reefs.
