Lifeguard at Work

The lifeguard's work is never done. Setting up and taking down beach umbrellas and chairs, emptying the trash cans, changing the little flag from white to red when the seas get too rough, keeping the beach free of garbage, even saving lives from time to time! Here Alessandro is moving stones from one part of the beach to another to create the perfect surface for walking down to the sea.

Alessandro is the best little helper!

Those rocks are beautiful but hard to lay on with a beach towel, non?

Your Alessandro is heroic. And no doubt under-appreciated. Good for you for making him the key figure in this image.

Important work of Alessandro. Taking care of the people that visit the beach.

Nice summer Saretta.

I'm amazed at how rocky the beach is, though the water looks quite inviting. What is Allesandro wearing on his head?

We don't have much sand in Molfetta. The beaches are mostly either small rocks like this, or large, flat reefs. In either case, it's a good idea to bring a beach chair if you want to be comfortable!

Lola, I'm assuming you mean attractive-hot and not hot weather-hot? ;-) I'll have to tell Alessandro!

Clueless, he's wearing a bandanna on top of his ponytail!

I love this rocky beach and Alessandro is doing a boring but useful job.

Ah, you captured people at work in the little details we would not associate with them. Well done.
